TwineStent: Innovation backed by paediatric research

At Epiicvet, one of our fundamental pillars is our love for animals. Our aim is to innovate and research to come up with 100% solutions designed for animals. Our flagship product, TwineStent, is the result of extensive research and development at the University of Zaragoza. This device was designed to treat canine tracheal collapse, providing a safe, anatomical and accessible therapeutic alternative.

We are proud to share that physicians and researchers from the prestigious Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Boston Hospital, have conducted studies with a tracheal prosthesis of the same geometry. This further supports the efficacy and quality of our products.

This research is aimed at the treatment of infant tracheomalacia, a pathology that requires a prosthesis that meets all these characteristics: removable/interchangeable, low profile, low mucus accumulation, biocompatible material. All of these characteristics are met by the TwineStent.
